Simply open the box, remove the base unit and wireless monitoring devise, plug them in, plug in the phone line, cellular unit (the Cyclone) or the internet module (the Sparrow), "learn in" the monitoring devise and keyfobs, activate the monitoring service online and your done. It takes just a few minutes and less skill than programming a TIVO or TV remote control. Once armed with the keychain remote the system will detect any intrusion, sound a high pitch siren and call the monitoring station. The monitoring station calls emergency authorities (police, campus police, security guard, etc.) and, if you request, the resident of the room or property, a parent, a manager or neighbor. In an emergency there are PANIC BUTTONS on each device module and on the keyfobs. When activated the alarm siren sounds and a call is made immediately to designated emergency authorities.

Totally Wireless, Self Contained, Portable, Monitored Alarm System The ElkGuard is the proverbial “Cadillac” of portable wireless security systems. In one modern, sleek device, Elkguard has packaged a wide angle PIR motion sensor, a 124 decible, eardrum busting, siren, a cellular based wireless communicator and a rechargeable battery that will hold its charge for three months or more. Remove it from its packaging, plug it into an AC outlet to charge the battery overnight, make some very basic program selections using its encrypted keyfob, set up the monitoring service and you are ready to hang it on the wall and arm the system. When it detects an intruder it will sound an eardrum shattering siren for five minutes and will simultaneously call the monitoring station on its built in cellular communicator. The monitoring station then calls to inquire, just like your home alarm, and where necessary calls the proper authorities and anyone else that needs notification. The intruder can’t over-ride the system without the keyfob or the key. There is no code to turn it off. There isn’t even a keypad to struggle with. The system also includes a Panic Button on the keyfobs. Dedicated panic buttons can also be purchased. Additional motion detectors and detection devices are available.
